Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is the difference between arboriculture and tree trimming?
A: Arboriculture is professionally focused on tree health, structure, risk, biology and safety. Tree trimming is a small subset focused on cutting branches. Our Cert III training covers full arboriculture practice.

Q: Can I enrol if I live in Brisbane or interstate?
A: Yes we welcome interstate learners. For QLD and Brisbane-based students, we try to host workshops closer to your region. If travel is required, we can help coordinate.

Q: Are there subsidies or fee-free training options?
A: In NSW, eligible students may access Fee-Free training under state government initiatives. In QLD, there may be state subsidies or VET funding check eligibility with us.

Q: How many workshops are there and how often?
A: Typically there are 5–6 face-to-face workshops, each lasting 4–5 days. Between workshops, participants perform on-the-job tasks and complete assessments.

Q: What units or modules are included?
A: Modules include tree identification, pruning operations, dismantling, rigging, chainsaw operations, aerial rescue, pest/disease diagnosis, and implementing tree maintenance programs.

Q: How long will it take to finish?
A: Depending on prior experience, pace, and assessment scheduling, most learners complete it within 12–18 months.
